... am listening to an episode of Clue to go to sleep, and they had "one song to the tune of another" on. In the half hour since that round, I've been going through "Tipperary/Pack up your Troubles" in my head, including singing out loud the alternate lines of each song, as in:
It's a long way to Tipperary
Smile, Smile, Smile
It's a long way to Tipperary
Smile boys that's the style
Goodbye Piccadilly
It never was worth while
It's a long long way to Tipperary
Smile, Smile, Smile
and:
Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag
It's a long way to go
While you've a lucifer to light your fag
To the sweetest girl I know
What's the use of worrying
Farewell Leicester Square
So, pack your troubles in your old kit bag
But my heart is there
well, I'm going to go back to trying to go to sleep now...

More worryingly, you appear to have misunderstood the rules to 'OSTTTOA'. Try listening carefully to the crystal clear explanation that Humph gives at the beginning of the round. That should clear up any confusion.
But... you're not the only one suffering from cronic confusion.... On the piano is Colin Sell :-)
You could also check out the previous explanations here.
